Safety zones
- zone 1 above the bath and shower, zone 2 60 cm further out, both up to 2.25 m
- a 60 cm radius around the washbasin tap
- zones don't pass through walls — behind a partition a socket is allowed
- a socket, switch or light inside a zone is listed with a warning
Switches and sockets
- one height for the whole flat (switches 125 cm, sockets 25 cm) and a custom one for each frame — by a bedside table or kitchen worktop
- devices side by side join into a multi-gang frame by themselves, up to six
- the flat's distribution board at eye level — flush-mounted and in the wall colour, so it doesn't stand out
- separate colours for the frame and the device
- assign lights to a switch and clicking it in the Interior turns them on; several switches on one light work as two-way switching
Shopping list
In Quantities, Bytopie counts switches, sockets and frames by gang size — how many single, double and larger frames to buy.
The zones follow IEC 60364-7-701 in simplified form (bath, shower, washbasin). The wiring is designed and inspected by an electrician.
